Jimmie Connor picturered here receiving a cheque on behalf of Mayo SPCA from Seamus Hora.
We wish to thank Seamus most sincerely for his generosity towards the animals in our care. From the sames of his lovely poetry anthology, ‘Memories and Reminiscences’ he has donated €348-€1 for every copy sold!
Bless you Seamus-we are all-both 2 legged and 4 legged-most grateful to you!
Maureen Higgins has done a wonderful reading of some of Seamus’ poetry and this can be found at https://www.facebook.com/100010178616376/videos/465363713812912/
Michelle Courtney on behalf of Mayo SPCA was invited to Knockrooskey National School, Westport, to give a talk to the Senior Infants class on animal welfare. It was a very successful visit and we would like to thank their teacher Chloe Hayes for inviting us and to Michelle for visiting the school.
Make your wedding day very memorable by making a donation to MAYO SPCA.
Did you know that instead of chocolates or sugared almonds as wedding favours; did you know that the option of making a donation to charity in lieu of wedding favours is becoming increasingly popular with couples, and guests will truly appreciate the thoughtful gesture.
In recognition of your love and support and in lieu of favours, we have made a donation in your name to the MAYO SPCA.
If you want to know more about our wedding favour cards, please contact us.
Eavan Caulfield recently gave a very informative talk to our 3rd yr students on the work of Mayo SPCA. Special thanks to Eavan for giving up her time to talk to our students and special thanks also to Ms. Monaghan for organising the visit.
One year on and Fawn is now ready to find her new home. For those of you who don’t know Fawn’s Story we will be posting pictures over the next few weeks to show you how far she has come. Fawn was found in Knock by a wonderful lady who contacted us straight away. Fawn was emaciated, dehydrated, skin and bone. To make matters worse she had been shot by a fire arm and had been blinded. With lots of TLC, veterinary care and one to one care from Marian, Fawn is now fit, healthy, excellent on the lead, very obedient and she loves lots of hugs and kisses.
Fawn would love a home to call her own and that is where we desperately need your help. We need to share her story far and wide to find her forever family. Fawn would need a home where someone would be there most of the day. A secure garden where she can play with her toys. If you can share her picture and story we would be very grateful.
