Bonnie

Bonnie is a beautiful little kitten, found in the engine of a car but in very good health and has had her first vaccination.  She is thriving in her foster home and is clearly going to make a lovely companion or family pet-she adores human company and is very used to cats and dogs.  Playful and sociable, she is looking forward to meeting for forever family

Blossom

Update-Poor Blossom didn’t make it.  She had a tumour on her leg that was causing immense pain so it was kinder to let her go

This poor wee girl “Blossom” was found alone on the side of the road this evening in the dark cold and rain. With a severe cold/suspected cat flu and a possibility of a fractured hip she has battled to hold on dispite her suffering and is now warm and comfy for the night in the sanctuary.

At first light she will be heading into our vets and having blood tests and an x ray of her hip.

Please keep Blossom in your thoughts and we will keep you updated on her progress.

Lexi

Lexi is a beautiful Jack Russel about a year old who was found abandoned.  She has been neutered, wormed and vaccinated and is ready to find a loving new home. She is a playful and happy dog but would prefer a quieter home as she can be a little nervous if overwhelmed.  She will make someone a really lovely companion.

Pop Up Shop up and running in Ballyhaunis!

Welcome to the first day of our Pop Up Shop!

Located in Ballyhaunis, we are open 10am to 5pm daily from today Monday 6th November 2017 to Friday the 10th November 2017.

As you can see here we’ve included a little sneak peak of a small selection of what we have to offer that has been kindly donated to us to raise funds for the animals in the care of the Mayo SPCA CLG and those animals who will need us in the future.

We are very lucky to have the opportunity for a Pop Up and we have lots of goodies in the store for you to choose from……

Do you like quirky? well, we have some of that?
Maybe a Christmas or birthday present for that person who has everything we all know one or two?
Maybe you would like to spruce up the Christmas dinner table for a bargain with some new crystal glasses? Just think of the bubbles fizzing against that sparkle.
We also can’t forget our four legged friends we have some bits and pieces for them too, also yes we have that longed for item “the cuddley toy” 🐻
So pop over, pop in and have a look at the Mayo SPCA “POP UP”
As you know Pop Ups are only around for a short amount of time and we really want to raise as much as we can, so in order to do this we need you our lovely friends and followers to come and support this venture… Bring along yourselves, friends and family, maybe even your neighbours and see what treats we have in store.

Each and every euro/ cent raised over the next couple of days will be used for the upkeep of the animals currently in the care of the Mayo SPCA CLG and those yet to come.

These events are so crucial to the animals of Mayo in their time of need and it enables us as volunteers to continue helping the abandoned, lost, neglected, and cruelty of our furries who have found themselves alone.

The funds themselves go towards
🐩 Heating and lighting making sure they stay warm and snug.
🐕Medical bills for when they feel under the weather.
🐩Neutering/microchipping costs, trying to minimise the unwanted babies that are left daily to fend on there own or those who find themselves without their human.
🐕Feeding/dietary requirements.. as you can imagine with 40 + cats and 20+ kittens, 7 dogs and pups we have a good few mouths to feed twice a day and we go through lots of wet and dry food to ensure they have good full content bellies.
🐩Transportation to and from veterinary appointments.

These are a few of the daily bills that the sanctuary incur and your support with fundraising events like this helps us volunteers give the animals what they need and we can’t Thank You enough for your support and we look forward to seeing you in the shop soon.

Oscar (rehomed)

Oscar is a lovely lively kitten who was handreared from the age of one day.  He is really thriving and very happy.  He’s currently in foster care and will make a brilliant addition to any family! He is vaccinated, house trained and very friendly-also very used to other cats and dogs.

Fionn

This lovely boy is Fionn.  He is currently in need of TLC and treatment as he was found in very poor condition and very underweight.  As Fionn recovers we will update on his progress.  He is a lovely friendly boy who just wants to be best pals with everyone he meets.

Justin and Morris

Justin (white and tabby) and Morris (black) are looking for there forever homes.
These two little sweethearts have been handed into us because they were found alone and left to fend for themselves at only a few weeks old (appx 7wks).
They have been seen by our vet and have been given there first injection wormed and de-flead.
Could you be a new family? And offer one of these boys a home of their very own? … All they are looking for is someone to love them and care of them with a warm fire and a cosy lap to snuggle on.
If you could offer a home to one of these boys or any of our feline friends who are in our shelter please contact us on 0868032592 and we will be happy to arrange a meet and greet, alternatively you can contact us via pm and we will get one of the team to give you a call.
