July has brought plenty of welcome sunshine to Mayo, shining on the bright and positive atmosphere throughout the shelter. The warmer weather has allowed many of our dogs to enjoy the outdoors, playing, exercising, and socialising in the fresh air, while our cats have benefited from sunny spots and enriched environments that support their wellbeing. This month’s newsletter celebrates the joy that summer brings to both animals and volunteers alike. We share heartwarming stories of pets finding loving new homes, updates on animals currently in our care, and highlights from daily life at the shelter during these sunny weeks. The longer days have also provided additional opportunities for volunteers to spend quality time with our residents, helping them build confidence and prepare for their forever families.
