Helping with the dogs 🐶
This includes cleaning kennels, refreshing water bowls, hand washing food bowls, doing laundry for blankets, toys, and towels, and taking dogs out for walks. Many of our dogs have had a difficult start, so your time, patience, and kindness can mean the world to them.
Fostering 🏡
Fostering gives an animal the chance to experience life in a loving home while they wait for their forever family. Some animals find the rescue environment stressful and recover much faster in a calm home setting. By fostering, you help prepare them for adoption and also allow the centre to care for more animals in need.
Office support 📞
If you prefer to help behind the scenes, we also need support with tasks such as filing, answering the phone, and photocopying.
Veterinary visits 🚗
Volunteers may also help by collecting or dropping off sick animals for veterinary appointments.
Whether you can help with cleaning, walking, cuddling, fostering, office work, or transport, your time makes a huge difference.

Join us for a shift at our rescue centre in Ballyhaunis, where you’ll help care for abused, abandoned, and unwanted dogs and cats while they wait for their forever homes.
Our cattery is home to beautiful cats and kittens who need daily feeding, fresh water, clean litter trays, cosy blankets, and gentle attention. Our dogs also need daily care, including feeding, fresh water, clean kennels, walks, playtime, and of course, plenty of cuddles.
Volunteer shifts are available:
Morning shift: 10am – 1pm
Afternoon shift: 3pm – 6pm
We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of one shift per month, and you can choose the shift that works best for you.
Helping with the cats 🐱
This includes cleaning the cattery, refreshing litter trays and water bowls, washing food bowls by hand, and keeping blankets, toys, and towels clean and dry. There is always something to do, and every little task helps keep our cats comfortable and cared for.
