After over 400 days in the shelter Betty has been adopted! All the volunteer team knew that high energy Betty had so much love to give to a family if the right family was willing to give her a chance. It breaks our hearts to see long termers in the shelter like Betty waiting patiently day after day for someone to claim them as their own.
So you can imagine our relief when Bettys future forever family offered to foster her short-term. Fostering is great for so many reasons. Short term fostering offers dogs who have been in the shelter over a half a year that bit of space to decompress away from the hustle and bustle of shelter everyday life. It is also a great way for people to observe how a dog does in their home without having a long term commitment. After some time in their foster home, Betty’s family decided inquire about adoption! Betty we will miss your cheeky face but are over the moon for you. Thank you Daniel for opening up your home to Betty. Have the happiest life Betty, full of long walks and cuddles on the sofa!
