In summer 2016, we received a call from a lady in Ballinrobe who had found seven puppies abandoned in a box by a lake. Immediately our volunteers rescued the puppies. An action plan was put into place. The puppies were cold, stressed out and very hungry. The puppies were spilt into two groups and went home with two of our wonderful volunteers. They were bottle fed every couple of hours, loved and regularly checked by our vets. Today we are delighted to show you some photos of these same puppies having their vaccinations and being micro-chipped. Big thank you to the ladies at Four Mucky Paws who arranged an online auction to help with the pups’ veterinary bills. These two ladies do fantastic work to help all the rescues throughout this country. Also thank you to the vets at the Animal Hospital in Castlebar, especially Niall who checked over these beauties and was gentle with them. As you can see from the pictures they are very relaxed and content. Thank you to our foster mammies. All the puppies from the litter found forever homes.
