Suzie & Tiny arrived to the shelter in early 2024 in the most horrendous state from the pound. Skin and bone with matted dirty hair. They were around 10 years old and were used for a life time of breeding and discarded like trash when they hit their expiry date 
Unfortunately, blind teacup Yorkie Susie was discovered to be in pup and had to be monitored very closely.

In April 2024, there was a sad update for Susie:
‘Susie gave birth to one puppy yesterday morning but sadly the puppy was stillborn. Another trauma for poor Susie but she is being given so much love and care from Marian and all in the shelter and of course she has her sidekick Tiny.
Marian has been monitoring Susie night and day in the last few weeks and ensuring that she hasn’t had to go through anything alone.
Shame on every puppy farm in the country who care so little for the animals they are exploiting that they allow…or likely force…pregnancies on dogs at an elderly age. Susie should never have been put through this.
For anyone buying a puppy…if you fail to do your research, you could be directly contributing to the suffering of so many Susies throughout the country.
For now, we hope that Susie will slowly recover and continue the progress she has been making so that there will soon be better and brighter days ahead for her

Thank you so much to John and Ceris who opened their hearts and home to Susie and Tiny. After a short time it looks as if they have lived there forever
