We are at the point that sadly happens every year. The amount of cats and kittens needing to come into us is far exceeding the space we have.People get frustrated with us. People message and ring us and tell us why they can’t help, but need the cat and/or kittens gone. People tell that the cat isn’t theirs, they were just feeding it but now there are 6 kittens.
Everyday we are seeing kittens suffering and starving. Kittens who didn’t ask to be born and wouldn’t be if cats were neutered and spayed.
Along this we have the heartbreak of losing many to illness or simply being too young to survive without the proper care
We are short of volunteers, short of space, short of resources and exhausted. What we are not short of is love and care.
If you find a kitten or cat or need us to help, please be aware that we will advise and support you but you may be asked to care for them until we have space. We are not being awkward or unhelpful. We are being real.
The kitten crisis happens every year and we need the help of the communities to tackle it.
