When Tuco was first brought to the Mayo SPCA after being cruelly thrown from a car, our hearts broke for him. But the road to recovery started the moment he met one of our amazing volunteers, Michelle.
Michelle and her family took this little tuxedo boy straight into their hearts. Around that same time, Michelle’s family was grieving the tragic loss of their beloved cat, Georgie, who had passed away on the road just a month earlier. They weren’t looking for another cat, but fate clearly had other plans.
After spending a little time with another fantastic foster, Claire, it became crystal clear—Tuco wasn’t going anywhere. Michelle and her family officially adopted him! 
The most magical part? Michelle says Tuco shares so many of the exact same funny traits and quirks that Georgie had. It’s like Georgie knew their hearts were broken and guided Tuco right to the side of the road where he could be saved by the very people who needed him most.
From the side of the road to living his absolute best, most spoiled life with one of our own. We couldn’t be happier for Michelle, her family, and sweet Tuco. Happy life, little man!
