“I came to volunteer at the MSPCA for so many different reasons, first, we love animals! We have 5 pets of our own at home, one of them came recently from the MSPCA, and she has been a great addition. Second, I bring the kids along – it helps to teach them responsibility, and the reality of what happens to the pets that end up abandoned, or unwanted. Lessons for life. It’s great exercise, whether it’s bringing the dogs for a walk, or getting involved with the cleaning. It’s also great for my own mental health, to feel part of something in the community, and feel that you are giving something back. The team at the MSPCA do phenomenal work, I only wish I had more time to give…. and more space at home for a few more pets
