The Christmas Shepherd X Litter

The Christmas Shepherd X Litter

You may remember the bag of 5 puppies found in a field in a bin bag shortly before Christmas 2024💔.

They were so afraid 💔
Starving little babies with bellies full of worms. They adjusted so well in the shelter and all of them turned out to be healthy happy puppies 🐶 We could not be certain of what breed their parents were, however we suspected collie and German shepherd in there somewhere.

The shelter originally named them Ozzy, Otto, Fay (now Fae) , Daisy and Aldo.

Ozzy

Otto and Ozzy were the last two of the litter to find a home.

He was described by volunteers as : ‘He is playful and full of energy & like all puppies he is a blank canvas and will become what you teach him to be. He has already learned to walk on the lead. He attends puppy training classes and is very well behaved. He travels well in a car and mixes well with all other dogs. ‘

…

‘Myself and my partner Robert adopted Ozzy from Mayo Society For Prevention of Cruelty to Animals MSPCA LTD 4 weeks ago tomorrow he truly is a wonderful pup and we love him to bits. he has really settled in and I can say really changed our lives, he’s full of life and loves walks and treats and walks. Thanks to Marian and Jackie from Mayo Society For Prevention of Cruelty to Animals MSPCA LTD he’s a true joy and quite cheeky and mischievous. He’s simply the best he’s beautiful and cheeky everybody he meets loves him xx’ (March, 2024).

…

Bundee and Ozzy are in the same extended family and get to meet you…Isn’t that lovely ❤️🐾. ‘Bundee got to meet his brother Ozzy for the first time in 3 months, they got along great and had a lovely day at the beach with swims and running after balls with Bundee’s step sister Harper. (March, 2024).

…

Ozzy having fun at Puppy School❤️🐾 At puppy school in April, 2024 he as described as: ‘He is an absolute gentleman. He especially enjoys the off lead playtime at the end of class and plays beautifully with his classmates – a Cocker Spaniel, a tiny Maltese and a 3 month old Goldie. Whoever gives him his forever home will be getting an absolute star❤️‘

Fay (now Fae)

…

One of the first puppies to find their forever home, Fay (now Fae) is now living the dream with her forever family.

…

Daisy

One of the first puppies to find their forever home, Daisy found safety and love with her forever family at the very end of December 2023.

…

Isn’t this wonderful? Daisy (Ozzy’s sister) graduated puppy training classes on Saturday 🤩 (Feb, 2024)

…

Unfortunately, she and her canine companion in her home started to have difficulties. In 2025, her owners had to make the very tough decision to rehome Daisy as the difficulties were not resolving despite many efforts. Fortunately, after some time Daisy and her sibling in her home appeared to have made peace with each other and are friends again. Her forever family are thankful that she is staying put at the moment.

Aldo

Aldo was matched with his forever family after the two girls and before Otto and Ozzy.

‘He was already so well behaved for a young doggo, training for this smart puppy is coming very easy.
Thanks to all at the shelter for caring for him and all the animals there ❤️‘ (2024)
